Lindsay is a leader in environmental thinking. Combining substantial involvement with environmental initiatives with an extensive career as an architect, he now focusses on tackling the climate crisis, seeks “multiplier effects” to expand the ways he might be a catalyst for change, and specialises in making the science and technology of climate more widely accessible.

Lindsay has over 40 years’ experience in architecture and construction, professional education, and environmental advocacy. He has played key roles in specialised projects, from experimental buildings to innovative degree programmes, and from software development to mountain huts. He writes and presents widely on climate issues in a range of media, and is the co-author of well-proven cost management software for construction.

Mo’s initial IT focus with Resilienz quickly expanded to much wider engagement as he resonated with the climate-centred aims and projects of the company, bringing proven management skills and aptitude with people to enrich the Clearcut operation.

Recognised for his open-mindedness, Mo’s thinking and philosophy is not constricted by any particular school of thought, and brings a resultant agility in approach that fits well with the demands and uncertainties of the climate imperative, and with Clearcut’s pioneering initiatives.

Roger is a building services engineer by training and believes in minimising the need for active services whenever possible. Ten years of consulting and contracting experience in the UK and New Zealand have been followed by thirty years of tertiary education at Unitec Institute of Technology. He teaches building sciences, building services and sustainable construction to Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Property Development and Architectural undergraduates. In addition, he has undertaken roles including programme leadership and was Head of School for nearly ten years.

He has a degree in Environmental Engineering and a Master of Project Management. His research began investigating the impacts of building material choices on the internal thermal and hygroscopic environment in full scale detached houses. As part of Unitec’s Environmental Solutions Research Centre this now includes a range of air quality measures, medium density houses and positive pressure ventilation systems.

He is also currently contributing to the development of Clearcut through research on the embodied carbon impacts of residential services.
